Cách Trả Lời Câu Hỏi Dạng “How Often/When” Trong Speaking Part 1

Trong các bài thi Speaking, câu hỏi “When/How often ” thường được để đặt câu hỏi trong Part 1 để hỏi thời gian cũng như tần suất xảy ra của 1 sự việc nào đó. Đây là một câu hỏi không khó.

Tuy nhiên, để ăn điểm trọn vẹn câu hỏi này, không phải ai cũng biết. Sau đây, ITN sẽ hướng dẫn các bạn cách trả lời dạng câu hỏi này sao cho đơn giản và hiệu quả nhất nhé.

I. CÁCH TRẢ LỜI CÂU HỎI DẠNG “HOW OFTEN/WHEN”

Bước 1 : Sử dụng cụm mở đầu

Well to be honest …
Actually to be fair …
In actual fact …
Well in truth …
Well in all fairness …
In fact, in all honesty

Bước 2: Chọn tiếp một trong các cụm sau hoàn thành câu mở đầu

….I think I would have to say that it really depends.

… I suppose I would have to maintain that it kind of depends really.

… I imagine that it would depend on the situation.

… I guess my answer would be determined by different conditions

Bước 3: Mở rộng câu trả lời bằng cách chia trường hợp A, B

If (situation A), It is possible for me to …….
However/ Whereas in contrast, If (situation B), I will/would…

If (situation A) … then as a consequence, I will probably …
Though, at the same time …, If (situation B) … then I will almost always ….

If (situation A) … then I guess it’s quite likely that I will …

Question: How often do you go shopping?

→ Well, I have to say that it really depends on my work schedule. If I have a busy work schedule, I normally go shopping twice a month. Whereas on the other hand , if I do not have a lot of work to do, I usually go shopping once a week. when I go shopping, I often go with my mom because I can ask her for some useful advice.

Question: How often do you go to the cinema?

→ Well to be honest, I think I would have to say that it really depends. Like for instance, if I have the money, then it’s quite possible that I will watch a movie in the cinema, two or three times a month. You know cinema tickets are pretty pricey in China. Whereas in contrast, if I’m broke, it’s more likely that I’ll watch movies at home on DVD; you probably know that DVDs are quite cheap here, especially compared to the price of a cinema ticket.

Question: When do you usually read?

Actually, I think it really depends on my mood. If I feel happy, I will read book all day to gain more knowledge. However, If I am tired and stressed out with my studying, I will just read some comic books in the evening to relax my mind before hitting the hay.
